Problem:

Airtel was looking for an SSO solution for their Atlassian environments. During our discovery call we encountered difficulties with their Single Sign-On (SSO) implementation, particularly within their proxy environment. The SAML response from their Identity Provider (IDP) was missing essential parameters, disrupting access to crucial platforms like Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.

Solution:

miniOrange provides best-in-class SSO functionality for Atlassian applications and allows you to connect to any SAML 2.0 Identity Provider securely. Since Airtel’s environment was unique, a thorough analysis of their environment was conducted to implement an optimized solution . During our discovery, we identified that the missing parameter "IDP_ID" in the SAML response was causing the issue. To resolve this, the miniOrange SAML SSO plugin was customized to fetch the "IDP_ID" directly from the URL.

This tailored solution seamlessly integrated with their infrastructure, ensuring smooth SSO functionality within the proxy environment.
